Then and Now

Exactly a year ago:

  • I received my first job offer.
  • I enjoyed my job.
  • I was stronger and more confident in my responsibilities and abilities.
  • I was proud of the experience and knowledge gained.
  • I separated from a relationship and began a quest for independence.

This week:

  • I will be evaluating new candidates for our firm.
  • I am de-stressing by  doing less work/work and more work/life so that I can start enjoying moments that need to be enjoyed.
  • I am weaker and less confident in my responsibilities and abilities.
  • I am uneasy for not being able to say that the experience and knowledge I’ve gained is invaluable.
  • I write my interim review and attempt to “sell” myself for what I’ve done thus far.
  • I need to restrain myself in order to remain detached from temptations.
