Thanks. I have this notion that we’re all programmed to be a certain way — have certain characteristics, quirks, and what-have-you, but they’re only guided by our environment and the society we live in. We can program ourselves to be something else. We are not confined to being “purely emotional” — if we don’t want to be. There’s quite a bit of autonomy in our life, whether we like to admit it or not. Often times we blame the external (which does have an impact), but ultimately, we have the ability to change ourselves amongst all the chaos that-is-our-life.

I like what you said…. about what u want to learn…. I should really try and learn many of those too! But I never thought about trying to change them! Logical approach to a situation? Too emotional? Isn’t that just my personality; can’t help it I’m a girl! LOL… No but seriously good stuff and I love the name of your blog I got it straight away

What you are attempting to “learn” is actually to “practice”.

For example: if I act like a gracious loser, every time I lose, eventually the behaviour of acting as if I am gracious, becomes second nature. Then like a bolt of lightning, I suddenly realize that I have changed something that I did not like about myself; a defect of character that was not spiritual in nature.

So to learn the things you speak of you must actually practice them…act as if that is what you are until it becomes part of your nature. However, that is just my humble opinion and personal experience.
