Simba consistently pees in the house, everyday, out of spite.
It’s at those moments where you lose sight of him for a split second, and he’s already gone and done the messy deed around the corner. We never seem to catch him at the right moment, but we know that he knows he did bad.

When we bring him to the spot where he peed, he crouches, lowers his head, and becomes submissive. He knows what he did.

A once parchment colored carpet now belongs in a 70′s house to brighten the room with a little yellow.

When we leave the house, we put up play-pen gates because we can’t trust him to roam freely.
And now…it almost seems that the last resort is to pen him up while we are home.
I really don’t believe that the pen should be a place of punishment though.
He already hates it when we leave, and to put him in a place that he associates when we leave — is plenty anxiety for the dog.

I’m out of solutions.

Where is Cesar Milan?
